Somethings Impossible? Tell otherwise to your mind

It always seems impossible until it's done. "Nelson Mandela"

Man should be always motivated. Self-motivation is the best motivation techniques. The starting point of all motivation is oneself. I like this message by Nelson Mandela in certain aspects. Traditionally man's actions are only limited only up to where he thinks.

In Ramayana Lord Ram sends Hanuman to find Sita who was abducted by Ravana.

Rise, even after you fall

The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall. "Nelson Mandela"

How true these words are, for you will only understand if you have failed at least once. A life without fails is just an average life. It is left to the person who lives an average life to be able to change to extra-ordinary life.

The golden treasure everyone has

Every human possesses a golden treasure, but no one is aware of that. In fact we are using the same hidden gold polished as rusted tin everyday. It is our mind-power. Just tap the mind and it will identify as soul. Then your inquiries will lead to God himself. Just listen to yourself.

Advaitam and Dwaitam - What are they

Advaitam (Non-Dualism) and Dwaitam (Dualism) are both two ways of thinking about God. Simply saying Advaitam says there is no distinction between I and God. Dwaitam says the other way.

Advaitam as a philosophy was spread by Adi Shankaracharya. Likewise in the modern era it was Sri Ramana Maharishi who spoke largely about this.

Once the Advaitam is understood, it is difficult to understand or go back to Dwaitam. Because it is one and all. I am learning the process of Dwaitam and even now I am not open to understand what it means by Dwaitam, you will know the reason why.

How to run Firefox OS in your Windows/Linux Machines

Firefox OS is an operating system designed for lower end smartphones. Mozilla, the organization behind this operating system has already bought out some phones in Indian market at considerably cheaper prices.

For those who are inching to see how it works, you don't need to buy anything. In fact the operating system can be run within any operating system where Mozilla Firefox browser can operate.

If you are running Firefox 33 or higher versions, its in fact an awesome experience using WebIDE. However I have Firefox version 31, so I will stick to this as of now and show how it looks like to run the OS.

Head over to Firefox OS Simulator page in Mozilla Developer Network, and read the instructions (if you want to), and follow the next steps in this guide.

Click the Install Simulator button in the website:

You will be navigating to a page which lists the available versions of the OS. At the time of this the latest stable version is Firefox OS 2.0. Click on this.

Firefox will ask whether to allow this action, click on Allow and let the Operating system download.

Once you have clicked Allow, the Operating system would download and then install in your computer. Then Firefox will remain silent, the user experience with regard to this could have been streamlined by Mozilla.

To add to this, for some brief 2-3 seconds browser won't respond at all. Don't worry your Operating system is being installed.

However to access this simulator, click the Menu Tools > Web Developer > App Manager

The App Manager window (URL about:app-manager) will open which allows you to develop Applications for Firefox OS.

Click the Start Simulator button near the bottom left-hand side of the screen. You will get the list of Simulators installed in your machine. I have installed more than one Simulators, and therefore I got the list as below:

Click on the "Firefox OS 2.0" button and wait for a new popup window to open. There you have the new Firefox OS running in your computer.

As usual drag and drop from center to right to unlock the Operating system.

For those who are thinking what is the purpose of installing this operating system if you are not going to develop any applications, here is my sweet answer: You can run Whatsapp or any Web applications provided in Marketplace within this screen. It is lightning fast.

Note: To get working with Whatsapp goto Marketplace and install the application ConnectA2.

Enjoy using the new lightweight operating system on your desktop itself.

My verdict, the phone is slightly better than Moto G previous version. The only plus point I see is the additional SD Card slot. If the battery was a lightly higher configuration, it is a definite pick.

I give 4 out of 5.

Till trouble comes ACT is good

I have been using ACT Broadband for quite a long time now. I have in fact paid for their annual subscription package.

Till recently everything worked fine. Internet access speed is fast, I referred two of my friends to ACT.

Now let me start out my trouble box. It all started a year back. My laptop did not work all of a sudden. I took to service shop and they told me the motherboard was shorted. I could not find a reason for that then.

A week later, it came to my notice that water is coming through ACT cable. I really got suspicious, by this time I have switched to a router for wifi access. (My laptop was dead for quite a long time).

Whenever there is rain, water is coming through (inside of) cable. This is where I was enlightened that the water took my laptop away. With a series of phone calls to ACT and emails, they said they would reimburse me the repair costs of laptop. I repaired it, but after that ACT kept quite. I forgot that story.

The incident of water coming through the cable continued and is still continuing as of today. I have shot a video for proof. Mute the audio if you don't like it.

Help me fight against their bad customer service. Whenever I refer somebody I get a call immediately from their customer service. But when there is a problem, I had to wait for 10-15 minutes in a call to tell the problem. And the worst part, it never gets addressed.

If you are using Airtel internet, stick to it. Their customer service is the greatest on Bangalore.

Its a new record

25th June, I will be completing another milestone in my current organization. Now named Ellucian, I joined them when they were called Sungard. The journey has been definitely a long one.

To sum up the experiences in one word, its just great. I am not interested in recapping the old 7 years, but would want to spread my wings more towards the future. Don't know how long though.

This organization has been a different in terms of other IT organizations which I have worked so far. There is lot of personal space, lot of weekends (which does not require you to work), lot of friendly colleagues, handful of them friends, an understanding boss, what more do you want.

I am starting to dream big, which should help me in an alternate career. I said it, enough about the IT business. But what do I know other than this? A Big zero. This would be my next aim, to re-learn what I would like to become. If the exit from IT happens that would be because of health hazards and nothing other than that.

Let this day be a good start towards the goal. Listening for any other ideas from whoever listening to me. Comment out please.

Why you should not buy Moto E

I hope that you have read tons of reviews of Moto E by the time you are reading this blog. I am not going to bore you by putting specifications of the product or by technical details of this.

My short and sweet recommendation will be to stay away from the product, and the only reason: No secondary camera.

Mostly the use of a smart phone will be to enable video chatting, and if the secondary camera is not available what is the purpose of a smart phone. You are not getting the product for free. Instead I will recommend to buy Moto G (16GB) version only because of its great specifications.
